Launching OneVerse Bloggers to Help End Bible Poverty

Today we’re launching our OneVerse Bloggers, a cool, new niche on the Web. It all started when we enlisted a fantastic group of bloggers at The Relevant Conference last October; and since then, our community has grown by word of mouth.

OneVerse Bloggers are passionate about advocating for people without access to God’s Word, starting with the Vidunda people of East Africa and their translation project. Being rich in Scripture, they want to share that same richness with others and help end Bible poverty.

OneVerse BloggerI’m reminded of the Apostle Paul’s words to the church in Corinth, when he appeals to them to give to the poor Christians in Jerusalem:

“Right now you have plenty and can help those in need. Later, they will have plenty and can share with you when you need it. In this way, things will be equal.” -2 Corinthians 8:14, NLT

My prayer is that the OneVerse Bloggers and their readership will grow in solidarity with people across the world who have limited or no access to Scripture. For we all share a common need to hear from God and be in relationship with Him.

If you’d like to learn more about joining the OneVerse blogging community, please leave a comment and I’ll follow up with you.

I’ve been a supporter since a Passion Conference and would love to learn how to spread the word. I wish I had discovered the blogger sign up before teaching a Perspectives course last week, but I still passed out info.

Thanks for making God’s word central in the discipleship of the nations.
